What needs to be done to get a web site up and working?

First -- decide what you want the site to do. Is it just a web presence? Is it a business site? Information site?

Second -- decide what name you want. You should decide on one that reflects the type of site it is.

Third -- decide on a URL which is the web address commonly known as the "dot-com. Then you must "Register a Domain" which means buy the name.

Fourth -- choose a design and add content. (content is text and images)

Fifth -- choose a host for your web site

Sixth -- upload the site to the host.

Seventh -- publicize the site.

Eighth -- Maintain and refresh the site.
